Four-year-old Abigail Mor Edan, the youngest U.S. citizen held by Hamas, was among the group of hostages released back to Israel on Sunday. Abigail was kidnapped and taken to Gaza during the deadly attacks on Israel on October 7th. Her parents were killed in the attacks. The release of Abigail and other hostages is part of a deal between Israel and Hamas, which also includes the release of Palestinian prisoners and a temporary ceasefire. The truce is set to last for four days, but Israel has expressed willingness to extend it for every 10 additional hostages released by Hamas. The identities of the other hostages released on Sunday, including three foreign nationals, have not been disclosed. This release follows two previous waves of hostage releases as part of the deal.
