AGFC Launches New Online Hunting License System and Smartphone App

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) has unveiled a new online licensing portal and smartphone app to make renewing hunting and fishing licenses easier for hunters and anglers. The upgraded online licensing portal will offer more user-friendly features, including license listings based on user residency, age, and current license purchases. The AGFC aims to make the system more inclusive by offering an interface in both English and Spanish by the end of the year.

The smartphone app relaunch will make it more compatible with modern smartphones and allow users to check deer and turkeys without cell phone service. Users must delete the old application and download the new one listed under "AGFC" in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app allows hunters to verify their tags, check deer, bear, or turkey, and serve as electronic proof of tagged kills.

AGFC partnered with PayIt Outdoors' Conservation Outdoor Recreation & Engagement (CORE) platform to upgrade its electronic licensing system. The new system provides a streamlined digital platform for purchasing licenses, reporting harvests, and finding local events. The mobile app allows customers to submit game checks even when cellular activity is limited. The upgraded system also consolidates sales, events, and marketing data, making it easier for AGFC staff to improve the customer experience. With over 8.6 million transactions processed and 650,000 customers served annually, AGFC aims to enhance communication and customer satisfaction with the new system and app.
