Is Severe Weather Heading to Mid-Michigan and Southeast Wisconsin?

The storm prediction center has upgraded the risk of severe weather in mid-Michigan from marginal to slight, while a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for several counties in southeast Wisconsin. First Alert Meteorologist Colton Cichoracki warns that the best chance for storms in mid-Michigan will be from 9pm to midnight tonight. Although there is a slight risk for severe weather, Cichoracki is not overly concerned. Meanwhile, in southeast Wisconsin, a few storms may pop up this afternoon, with a better chance for storms later in the evening. The severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 1am. There have been reports of wet and stormy conditions in southeast Wisconsin, with some areas yet to experience the rain. Despite the wet weather, temperatures remain high. The weekend is expected to bring excellent weather, with showers potentially lingering early tomorrow morning before sunshine breaks out for the rest of the day. The risk of rain returns on Monday.
