Will Labor Day Bring Sunny and Warm Weather to NYC?

New York City residents can expect a sunny and warm Labor Day weekend, with temperatures reaching 87 degrees on Monday, according to the National Weather Service. A high-pressure system will keep the region dry with plenty of sunshine throughout the weekend. The humidity will remain relatively low on Saturday and Sunday but will rise on Monday morning as the temperature climbs. Rip currents from previous hurricanes could be a concern at New York's beaches, but the risk is expected to decrease to moderate levels by Saturday. Although the weather for Labor Day 2023 will be similar to last year, with a high of 88 degrees in Central Park, summer-like conditions are expected to persist beyond the holiday. The sunny weather is forecasted to continue for at least the next seven days, with temperatures possibly reaching the low-90s in the coming week, especially for the start of the school year. So, it seems like summer isn't quite ready to say goodbye just yet.
