Two pilots successfully ejected from a MiG-23 fighter jet during an airshow demonstration in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The incident occurred at the Thunder Over Michigan airshow at Willow Run Airport on Sunday afternoon. The pilots ejected and were rescued from Belleville Lake, while the jet crashed near an apartment complex in Belleville. The pilots were taken to the hospital as a precaution and did not appear to sustain any significant injuries. The cause of the crash is still unknown and will be investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. Videos captured by witnesses show the pilots ejecting from the aircraft and parachutes deploying. No injuries were reported at the apartment complex or the air show itself. The crash follows two fatal crashes in Wisconsin earlier in the month. The air show in Michigan was celebrating its 25th anniversary and the incident occurred on the last day of the event.
