A new court filing has revealed a "deluge" of threats targeting the law clerk involved in Donald Trump's $250 million civil fraud trial. The threats came after Trump complained about her on social media. The filing argued in favor of reimposing a gag order barring Trump from mentioning the law clerk in order to protect her safety. The threats against the clerk included antisemitic threats and harassment, with her personal information, such as her phone number and email addresses, being compromised. The clerk has been receiving daily doxing, harassing comments, and antisemitic tropes. The filing also stated that Judge Arthur Engoron, who is presiding over the trial, had already been the subject of harassment and threats on social media before the trial started. The threats prompted court officials to work with the FBI and Homeland Security to implement appropriate security measures. The clerk receives 20 to 30 calls a day and 30 to 50 messages a day on social media and personal email combined. Trump's lawyer did not comment on the matter.
