The University of Virginia is gearing up to host the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships on November 18 at Panorama Farms. This marks the first time since 1987 that UVA will host the event. Both the Virginia women's and men's teams have qualified for the championships and will be competing in the meet.
The women's 6k race is scheduled to start at 10:20 a.m., followed by the men's 10k race at 11:10 a.m. Tickets for the event have sold out, and all fans who have purchased tickets must take the shuttle service to the venue. Shuttles will be running from 6:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for the pre-event, and from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the return journey. Fans are encouraged to arrive early due to the capacity crowd.
The championships will be broadcast live on ESPNU and the ESPN app starting at 9:30 a.m. Live results can also be found on the UVASports.com website. The event will be an exciting showcase of the top collegiate cross country talent in the country, with UVA looking to make a strong showing on their home turf.
This is only the second time in program history that UVA has hosted the NCAA cross country championship meet, and with the home advantage, the Cavaliers will be aiming to impress.
