Black Gatorade Bottles and Towels to Debut at Gators Game to Honor First Responders and Military Community

The University of Florida's football team isn't just wearing black uniforms for their upcoming game against Arkansas, they're also debuting black Gatorade bottles and towels on the sideline. The black Gatorade bottles and towels are part of this year's "Saluting Those Who Serve" game, which aims to honor first responders and the military community. Gatorade has a long history with the University of Florida, dating back to the 1960s when the original sports drink was developed by scientists at the university to help the football team stay hydrated in the Florida heat.

Fans will also have the chance to win a black Gatorade bottle and towel. The matchup against Arkansas on November 4th will be the 13th meeting between the two teams, with Florida leading the series 10-2. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2, giving fans a chance to see the new black uniforms, bottles, and towels in action. The University of Florida hopes that the black uniforms and accessories will not only be a fun addition to the game, but also create awareness and show gratitude for the selfless individuals who serve in the military and as first responders.
