The 97th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City will take place this Thursday, featuring 25 balloons, 31 floats, and 18 all-star performers including Jon Batiste and Cher. The parade will be hosted by NBC's "TODAY" show stars Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker.

The parade kicks off at 8:30 a.m. ET at West 77th Street & Central Park West and ends outside Macy's Herald Square on 34th Street at noon. Interested spectators can arrive as early as 6 a.m. to secure a spot.

For those who wish to watch the parade in person, there are 2.5 miles of public viewing along the parade route. Certain areas are not open to public viewing, so it is important to plan accordingly.

Alternatively, the parade can be watched on NBC or streamed live on Peacock from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET on November 23.

This year, the parade will feature 18 performers, 29 clown crews, and 11 marching bands. Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Jon Batiste will kick off the festivities, and pop icon Cher will close the parade.
