Warriors send rookies Podziemski, Jackson-Davis to Santa Cruz

The Golden State Warriors have made the decision to send rookies Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis to their G League affiliate in Santa Cruz. Although both rookies have shown promise in their limited appearances with the Warriors, the team believes that they will benefit from more playing time and development opportunities in the G League.

Coach Steve Kerr explained that the move was made because the rookies were on the fringes of the rotation and would not receive consistent minutes with the NBA team. Instead of sitting on the bench, Podziemski and Jackson-Davis will join the Santa Cruz team for their training camp opener and participate in drills, scrimmages, and practice sessions.

The team has activated two-way players Usman Garuba and Jerome Robinson to fill the vacant spots in the rotation for their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

There is currently no official timeline for how long Podziemski and Jackson-Davis will stay with the Santa Cruz Warriors, but it is expected that they will rejoin the NBA team after the current road trip ends.

This decision reflects the Warriors' commitment to player development and giving their young rookies the opportunity to grow and improve their skills in a competitive environment.
