Over the weekend, the Burleson family, who recently moved to Blythewood for military purposes, found themselves in a life-threatening situation during the Lake Murray Fourth of July boat parade. The family's boat started sinking due to the high waves caused by fast and reckless boaters. Fortunately, strangers quickly came to their rescue, ensuring the safety of Brandon Burleson, his wife Nichole, and their two sons. Community members rallied around the family, offering assistance and support. One woman even let them use her car after they lost their keys and phones in the boat. The neighbors also organized a free boat recovery process to retrieve the submerged boat from the water. The grateful Burlesons are relieved to be alive and express their gratitude to the good samaritans who helped them during the harrowing incident.
