Will Bill Belichick Be Unemployed in 2024 as Falcons Hire Raheem Morris?

The Atlanta Falcons have reportedly found their new head coach in Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, but what about Bill Belichick? Despite being considered an early frontrunner for the Falcons job and interviewing twice, Belichick remains jobless. After 24 seasons with the New England Patriots, Belichick's team faltered to a 4-13 record last season, the worst of his career. While the Falcons have hired Morris, Belichick may have to sit out the 2024 season as he chases Don Shula's all-time wins record of 328. With 302 wins, Belichick is just a few victories away from the record, but it remains to be seen if he will get another opportunity to add to his total. As for Morris, he returns to Atlanta where he served as the Falcons' interim head coach in 2020 before joining the Rams. Morris led one of the NFL's best defenses with Los Angeles and now gets another chance to helm the Falcons. Only time will tell if Belichick will find a new coaching job or if he will have to wait for the 2025 season to continue his pursuit of history.
