According to Carlsbad head coach Thadd MacNeal, Sayin's athleticism and ability to evade defenders make him a tough player to sack. Carlsbad's offense was unstoppable, scoring touchdowns on each of their first six possessions and building a 41-0 halftime lead. Sayin finished the game with an efficient 12/14 passing for 138 yards and two touchdowns. In the third quarter, with a 48-point lead, Sayin was replaced by the backup quarterback.
