The Cincinnati Bengals had a strong start against the Buffalo Bills in their game on Sunday. In the first quarter, they scored two touchdowns on their first two drives. The first touchdown came from a 7-yard pass from quarterback Joe Burrow to tight end Irv Smith Jr. The second touchdown was a 2-yard run by running back Joe Mixon. This gave the Bengals a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
This is not the first time the Bengals have scored a touchdown on their opening drive. According to ESPN Stats & Information, the Bengals have now scored a touchdown on their opening drive in four consecutive games. This is the longest current streak in the NFL this season.
The Bengals' strong start was a result of the performance of their tight ends. In addition to Irv Smith Jr., tight end Drew Sample also contributed with a 22-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter.
Overall, the Bengals' strong start gave them a comfortable lead over the Bills in the first half. It will be interesting to see if they can maintain their momentum for the rest of the game.
