Green Bay Packers rookie tight end Tucker Kraft scored his first NFL touchdown on Thanksgiving against the Detroit Lions. Kraft, who has primarily been used as a blocker this season, took advantage of a play design that had him slip out into the flat where he was wide open for an easy score. With fellow rookie Luke Musgrave unavailable, Kraft now has the opportunity to step up as the team's TE1. Offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said that while Kraft won't be asked to do everything that Musgrave did, the game plan will remain relatively unchanged. Kraft's ability as a blocker has steadily improved throughout the season, and he has also shown his skill in picking up yards after the catch. This touchdown gave the Packers a 14-6 lead over the Lions in the first quarter. Kraft's performance on Thanksgiving was an encouraging sign for the young tight end and could signal more involvement in the offense moving forward.
