Gauff and the crowd were visibly upset by Siegemund's slow pace of play, leading Gauff to approach the chair umpire to voice her complaints. Multiple times, Siegemund flirted with exceeding the serve clock time and was not ready for Gauff's serves when she was ready to start the points. Siegemund received a time warning and later a point penalty for her slow play. However, Gauff managed to overcome the frustrations and secured a hard-fought victory with a score of 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. The match lasted two hours and 50 minutes.
