The Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly signed Javonte Smart, a former player for the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks. Smart initially went undrafted out of LSU in 2021 but spent his rookie year playing for both teams.

During his final season of college, Smart demonstrated his skills by averaging 16.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. In the G League, Smart averaged 13.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 32 regular-season games.

Smart's signing with the 76ers is an Exhibit 10 deal, which gives him an opportunity to prove himself during training camp. His performance in the 76ers' summer league was promising, showcasing his basketball IQ and scoring ability.

At 6-foot-4, Smart possesses a diverse scoring arsenal, averaging 15.1 points per game in the Nike EYBL with impressive shooting accuracy. He has also shown proficiency from beyond the arc, shooting 40% in the Nike EYBL and 43.5% in Adidas Nations. His ball-handling finesse and ability to create offense against tough defenses make him a valuable asset.

The 76ers, coming off a successful season, are looking to bolster their roster and make a deep playoff run. With Smart's potential and the talent of players like Joel Embiid, the team has high hopes for the upcoming season.
