Indiana University (IU) big man Kel'el Ware is making waves in the college basketball scene, catching the attention of ESPN's Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo. In their 2024 NBA mock draft, they project Ware to be chosen in the first round with the 22nd pick next June. This comes as no surprise, as the 7-foot sophomore has been dominating on the court, averaging 17.7 points and 8.8 rebounds while shooting an impressive 63.9 percent from the field.

Ware's journey to Indiana wasn't without its challenges. After a freshman season at Oregon, the McDonald's All-American decided to transfer to Indiana, where he has been working on his consistency and energy levels. Head coach Mike Woodson is pleased with Ware's progress so far, noting his improved effort and performance.

If Ware does get selected in the first round next year, he will join the ranks of 27 players from IU who have been chosen in the NBA Draft's first round. Indiana has a storied basketball program, with two No. 1 overall picks and a total of 79 players drafted into the NBA.
