For the second year in a row, comedian and writer Amber Ruffin will be hosting NBC's "Countdown to Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade." The hourlong special will air live on Wednesday, November 22 at 8 p.m. Viewers will get an all-access look at the Macy's Parade Studio to see how the famous floats and balloons are created before they make their way through the streets of New York. The special will also feature "Today" anchors Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker sharing their favorite memories of hosting the parade. Additionally, viewers will follow a high school marching band as they travel to New York to perform in the Thanksgiving morning event, as well as meet a parade-loving family who traveled across the country for a front row seat. Last year's special included guest stars such as Darren Criss and Paula Abdul. "Countdown to Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" is produced by Silent House Productions and is executive produced by Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco, and Linda Gierahn.
