More than 85,000 highchairs are being recalled in North America due to the risk of falls that have resulted in injuries to children. The recall, announced by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, involves TOMY International's Boon Flair and Flair Elite Highchairs. The safety hazard arises from the bolts used to secure the seat to the base, which can become loose and cause the seat to detach from the pedestal base, posing a fall hazard. TOMY has received 34 reports of chair separation, leading to 24 falls and 11 injuries including bruises and scratches. All Boon Flair Elite highchairs and Boon Flair highchairs manufactured before September 2016 are affected by the recall. The Flair Elite model features a white and orange molded plastic seat with a white tray and a metal pedestal base, while the Flair model has a gray plastic base and comes in 10 color combinations. The highchairs were sold at various retailers and online platforms including Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Toys 'R' Us, Amazon, Walmart, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled product and contact TOMY for a free repair kit.

Senior tennis star, Fiona Crawley, from the University of North Carolina (UNC), is making headlines at the US Open as she competes in both singles and doubles as an amateur. Crawley, who recently won the NCAA Women's Tennis Championship with partner Carson Tanguilig, earned the opportunity to compete in the qualifying event. Despite challenging weather conditions, Crawley emerged victorious in her matches and will now face Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the singles tournament. In doubles, she will team up with Tanguilig. This achievement adds to the already successful season for the Tar Heels and showcases Crawley's potential to make an impact at the US Open.
Crawley's journey at the US Open started with an upset victory against Hungarian professional Reka Luca Jani in the first qualifying round. The match, which lasted nearly three hours, made Crawley the first active collegian to win in this year's final Grand Slam event. She continued her impressive performance, battling through rain delays and a tough opponent, Timea Babos, in the second qualifying round. Despite being the former world number one in doubles and a formidable opponent, Babos couldn't match Crawley's skills and determination.
UNC coach Brian Kalbas praised Crawley's mental and physical toughness, highlighting her ability to play back-to-back third-set tiebreakers. Crawley's performance has captivated fans and showcased her fighting spirit. As she continues her journey at the US Open, tennis enthusiasts and Tar Heel alums eagerly await her next match.
